Palo M Slowly building mine - have to admit, you built a beautiful cockpit! How are you approaching the overall paint - the shine is very nice, curious how what paints you chose for the camo. Are they painted over an aluminium layer?

Eric Juvyns Thx Palo. I just followed the painting instructions in the kit. First I primed the kit with Tamiya fine primer and as base layer I sprayed the lighter of the two greys. Then some black and white mottleling and ending with the light and then the dark grey.

The shining paint could be Half Glass Grey? That has an metallic effect.

Villiers de Vos Did you complete this project? Blending the nose cone is exceptional. I have one in the stash and is curious to see how you solve the different challenges.

Eric Juvyns Unfortunately It stalled and has been boxed ever since. One day I hope to finish it or I may even sell it as is.
I'm stepping out of building 1/32 planes and I would like to sell some kits I still have in my stash. But most of them are started. In most cases it's just some parts glued but no paint yet. A couple are a bit further along.
As an example I have the Trumpeter F-105D with Black Box cockpit and Cutting Edge decals. The cockpit is finished, painted and all. And the wings are glued together wit some other small parts glued.
So would somebody be interested in buying this or other started kits? My intention is taking pictures of everything and making an album per kit. But before I put in the effort I would like an assessment of the feasibility of this plan.
Any comments, feedback or questions are welcome.

Michael Kohl I think most modellers would hesitate to buy a started kit. But some take it as a challenge, sometimes you need only a few parts for a kit bash, and so on. Just try it with a few kits and see how much feedback you get.

Martin Oostrom I recently sold a lot of kits. And there were plenty started. When advertising, add good pictures, don't hide anything that isn't perfect. Buyers will know what they're getting into and won't hesitate if their itch is tickled.
