Bad kit! Terrible fit, lacking instructions (no paint guide for interioer), big gaps in some places, the only reason to buy this one is the boxart. The details are okay for a 1960ies tooling and the decals are good as well.
To make this one look good some major additional work is needed, which I didn't feel like doing. I also didn't apply a gloss coat to where decals are placed, that's why there is silvering.
Don't forget to fill the nose cone with lots of lead, otherwise you'll have a proper tail sitter.

I don't know when AirFix started using the Vintage Classics box style, but I'm glad they did because a while back I bought a new red box kit thinking it was more recent tooling and found some abomination that was older than I am. LOL 🤪

The black paint scheme covers up a lot of the minor issues around the canopies but the big flaws are still pretty visible, especially where the tail booms connect to the wings.

Some fifty years ago it may have actually been a good kit, but time was not kind to it.
Raised panel lines and a gazillion rivets already came with it. I don't do rescribing and reriveting, it's just too much effort for me (I'm lazy) lol. But I admire anyone who has the patience and dedication to put in that kind of extra work 🙂
