Years ago (in the nineties) I discovered a hidden Mig 21 on a Belgian air base (I was there for my job). No idea what the airplane was doing there. That's where I got the inspiration for this build. So a whatif with a real life background.

In the summer of 1965, tensions between NATO and the Soviet Union were at an all-time high. During a routine patrol mission over the North Sea, a group of Belgian F-104 Starfighters intercepted a Soviet Mig-21 fighter jet that had strayed into Belgian airspace.
After several warnings went unanswered, the Belgian pilots were forced to take more drastic action, firing warning shots and ultimately forcing the Mig-21 to land at Florennes Air Base.
Belgian military officials were shocked to discover that the Mig-21 was fully operational and appeared to be equipped with advanced avionics and weaponry that had not previously been seen in Western fighter jets.
The Belgian Air Force launched a detailed investigation into the Mig-21's capabilities, conducting extensive tests and analyzing the aircraft's design and technology. They overpainted the red stars with Belgian roundels and the insignia of the 2nd Fighter-Bomber Wing which was stationed at Florennes Air Base in 1965.
