Revell Marder 1A3 [OOB]
The kit is rather nice and I did only add some new handles and a meshfor the commanders sight
Basic paintjob came out lighter than expected, but it is a small scale model so it makes sense that way
The camouflage pattern was done using masking putty. I didn´t really nail it 100%, but I hope it will suffice
Decals on top of a gloss coat...
Unfortunately I put the yellow marking in the wrong place... just ignore that 🙂
I already weathered the lower hull before final assembly, but I could have gone with just leaving it black as it sin´t reaally visible from normal viewing angles
A wash was added to bring out the details. Everything will now be sealed with a matte varnish and then weathered

Looks great so far! 👍 I'm looking forward to your weathering.
I think masking it was a good idea. The transitions on the real tank don't look that soft to me.

Thank you both 🙂 As I finally had some time for a painting session again, I managed to finish the Marder. Now it is kind of dirty, but I´m happy with that result

Looks great all dusty and dirty, Tom. 👍 I really like the tracks and the sideskirts.

As Thomas said, it's a great kit. And you made it come alive in a very fine manner! As a former Milan marksman it brings back good memories. Thanks 🙂

Thank you for nice comments 👍
It kind of became a tribute to the Marder-stories my driving teacher told me a few years ago😉

Building the Marder 1A3 from Revell out of the box. I an still puzzled wether the camo schme of modern BW vehicles is best done with masking or free hand... Anyway I decided to proceed with my masked of result although I am not 100% sure about the quality. Hopefully the weathering will make it all come together 🙂
