nope, that I didn't say.
The bumper is well made, but lacks the finesse to paint it chrome, a slight tad of sanding and filling would have made it pop. now you see some glue stains and places that needed filler. Paintjob is top, just a slight blemish at the rear of the passenger door, looks like cracking paint or something...Maybe nitpicking or the like, but I'm sure you wouldn't let these pass when building bikes...

Honestly, many lessons learned. The rough looking bar changed shape as I built it. Had absolutely NO idea what I was doing and was also experimenting with plastic welding as I went. There is plenty of putty there but I still struggle with application. No idea what happened behind the DRIVERS door, I thought a fingerprint at first but now I don't think so. What I was most happy with was the paint evenness and no orange peel. Kez has taught me that! So many car builds are let down by the bodywork paint. The interior is too shiny, I will research Alex G's builds to get to the bottom of that. I was a rush job, and Marty knows all about them, so I will hide behind that a little. But, the wonderful thing I have found with the hobby is whenever you jump from one genre to another a whole new skill set is required. More learning, more conversations with mates and more love of the hobby! Thanks for the comments gents, I might have a long way to go but I don't walk the path alone.

and more material becomes available. At our club we have car builders, plane builder, tanknuts etc... and some material is sold as for bikes and cars, but is equally handy in the other domains... just look further then the name for which it is sold...

I know what you mean about the skill set. I mainly build aircraft, but really wanted to build an Australian road train. I found that I was having to go MUCH slower, and eventually had to stop to do research on skills the car people probably do every on build... Also finding an Australian Flatbed trailer here in the States is impossible (much less two of them).

I'll build almost anything. I'm pretty good on some things, not so good in many more things. I'm a master of none. I do have fun most of the time.
I'll admire anyone with extraordinary skills (Bugsy, KC amongst others) and try to learn as much as possible, while still being stubborn old me 😉

I have a theory Rene, Greg is actually 90cm tall and very thin. Such a small scale is like 48 scale for the rest of us! Thanks for the wrap too, there will be more cars, one day!
