After varnishing with Tamiya X-22, applied the decals. Tried to peel them, as per unofficial method. They did come out, despite one month sitting on the plane.

Album image #15
This is the continuing of the peel process. I’m not a fan. Furthermore, a corner of a stencil came away, so I decided to leave rest. I find them perfectly satisfactory without “the peel”.

Album image #16
These decals will stay like this. I find them well integrated with the model (note that at least a couple or varnish layers will be applied over them).

Album image #17
Correcting the yellow stripe, it was too wide

Album image #18
Correction made

Album image #19
Work so far, ready for another layer of X-22, thinned with MLT

Album image #21
Applying the washes using the Ammo set for German early fighters

Album image #22
Wash applied and Hataka satin varnish applied; wheels glued in place

Album image #23
Chipping and oils applied, Vallejo Matt Varnish (62.062) applied

Album image #24
Decals from where the top film was NOT removed lifted from the surface; these new Eduard decals are a real nightmare; I’m not buying any more Eduard kits until they change these misery decals

Finished!

Looks really good Ricardo 👌, the cockpit looks great 👍
That wheel bay colour? I have to use a very similar colour on the IAR-80 I'm building, l think is was similar on my FW-190.
How do you find the Eduard decals with the film ?? Is it better idea??
Look forward to next step's 😃👍

Ricardo Reis
Thank you Mr D. Wheel bay color is RLM02. and cockpit is RLM66; I must confess I do not like these new decals, specially the smaller ones; I managed to ruin some stencils 🙁

Thanks Ricardo 👋.
Yes l think Eduard would be better going back to standard decals.
I think the idea was to stop them breaking up on awkward surfaces?? But l don't like the idea.
Appreciate the pain tips.
😁👍👍👍

Welcome Mr D; one more thing I learned is not to use Micro Set to position them; I always use Micro Set before Micro Sol, because it makes the decals slide very easy on the surfaces; not with these ones: Micro Set makes them extremely soft and mushy, and they wrinkle and that's how I ruined a few; to position them I recommend using only water

Ahh. ... Ok, thanks Ricardo 👍
As l may do the Eduard Albatross in the future..
A bit of isopropanol n water works as a softener, l watch a YouTube vid about it and it.work well.
Cheers 😃👍
