Calvin GiffordI don't know what I will enter in with as my first kit - believe me, I have plenty!! Though I will try to find my oldest one.
17 September 2015, 20:17
Calvin GiffordNot sure how to 'Link' my photo album with the group build. Instead of entering my oldest one - the easiest one was the first one I came across! LOL
22 September 2015, 07:55
Stefan SchneiderYou just have to assign the EXACT name of event (in this case the name of the groupbuild) to the album. No additional words or things like that. The album should be displayed on the event page afterwards.

Choppa NuttaThe Neglected Kit Resurrection Groupbuild !!!
Which has ironically become somewhat neglected haha 🙂
So I am wondering how peoples neglected kits are coming along ?
Anyone finished anything recently or made any progress ?
Here's hoping 😄
H KThe whole Groupbuild stuff fizzled out. I think it needs some improvements.
IMO Armorama has the best Groupbuilds on the net. Maybe copy some things for example the thing with the badges, which should work much better on scalemates than on a regular forum.
5 June 2015, 17:13
Choppa Nuttanot familiar with Armorama, but yes it could be better and less fiddly to join a group etc. not to take anything away from Tims efforts etc. 🙂

Choppa Nuttawelcome Clifford and Vincent, I see you are in competition with each other, this is not a feature of group builds I was aware of, what's that all about then ? 🙂

Choppa Nuttaweird hey, must be a new feature no one is aware of yet 🙂

Choppa NuttaWell the TNKR group is a couple of months old now and I can't help but how everyone is getting on 🙂
Very nice to see so many people have joined in ! 27 so far, 28 once Steven Gilbert(grumpy) clicks on "attending this event" even though he has TNKR album, not that I mind at all 🙂
Anyhow, I was thinking of updating the header picture for the flavour of the month and all that. So I wonder who has a favourite project I should use a picture from ?
Doesn't matter if it is finish or not, just let me know which is your favourite picture from TNKR thus far 😄
29 August 2014, 00:08
Choppa NuttaWell I thought I'd ask anyway 🙂

Choppa NuttaI've written instructions in the intro text 🙂
25 July 2014, 01:10
Choppa Nutta1) Scroll down to the Visitors section and click on the button called "Attending this event"
2) Create (or rename) an album and call it exactly this name, no extra dots or dashes etc. -
The Neglected Kit Resurrection Groupbuild
3) Link it to your chosen project, create one if don't have one. Can be named anything you like. (although this seems optional)
4) Upload at least one photo and hopefully more 🙂

Choppa NuttaA big well done to Peter Jenssen for finishing first with his lovely Tamiya 1:48th scale Chance Vought F4U-1/2 Bird Cage Corsair 🙂
Nice one Peter your pic can have pride of place until we have our first pic of the month on the 25th for our favourite model in the group, doesn't need to be a finished model just favourite and I'll post a pic of the peoples choice in the header picture, a modest honour I know 🙂

Choppa Nuttasounds awesome, make sure you get some photos up of what it looks like now 🙂
One thing I do want to encourage is for people to finish off more than one model in this groupbuild so that their photo album fills up with all their old unfinished kits, one after another, I guess final reveals should be included too as well as the builds obviously 🙂
but also have a separate photo album for just the final reveals as well etc.
But whatever people want to do really, this really is a groupbuild for the non committal 😄
Anyway looking forward to seeing the photos as I am not that familiar with Ferrari's as you 🙂

John Van Kooten@Choppa: yes, you! 😛 😉 but not just you 😄 haha!
@Fabian: Choppa meant to say that I was referring to him with the "it's more a remark for other readers... ... before" sentence 😉 and indeed I was 😛
@Leandro: Hahaha! Yes! YES! 😉
@Hunter: the Trumpeter tools are still widely available, so should not really be a problem to get them. They are not too expensive either. For what you get in the package, they are pretty good 👍
This is the toolset:
Tools for Zimmerit Coat (Trumpeter 09916, No)

I bet you will surprise us all with a high class one!🙂
26 June 2014, 12:06
Choppa Nuttahaha thankyou for the encouragement, but I am seeing a lot of little mistakes already on the Harrier, the Klear didn't go down evenly and when I left out side in the sun to dry off little flecks of stuff landed in and dried on and removing them is leaving little marks etc plus the wing joins aint great, but I always knew that was going to be the case, I did think about filling them but I don't have the right colour paint anymore to do it and I can't remember what I used, also I wanted this be a fairly rapid completion as I have one or two more to bring the table after this 🙂
But that said there are a few things I've got right, fuselage joins and the painting overall is quite neat, almost happy with how the canopy came out, it won't win any competitions but it will look on the sideboard 🙂
26 June 2014, 12:13
Steve WilsonHow do I get my album to appear here please???

But you didn't say, " don't add anything to the title," I did and it didn't Lol!!!(((😄 )))

26 June 2014, 00:54
Choppa NuttaAh ! Mr Marles, I'm glad you joined in because between Jonns's kits of shame thread and your encouraging words was motivation enough for me to start this groupbuild, seems only fitting you should be part of the groupbuild with the least rules on Scalemates 🙂
So what you gonna be opening up out of the box of binge buying then ?
26 June 2014, 01:33
M.Julian MarlesTwo drawers..hopefully something simple ! Like repainting, refurbing a mostly OOB build!

Gordon SørensenI say do the CG-4A, then I can watch you while I do mine! I am planning on doing the British version, but my decals are missing.
25 June 2014, 00:22
Choppa NuttaI've got a feeling it might be CG-4A,sounds unusual but cool 🙂
Why start off your album with a picture of both models so we can see what you've got to choose from
25 June 2014, 00:36
Choppa NuttaSweet ! Eleven people in on the first day, awesome 🙂
Nice to see that this groupbuild has garnered so much enthusiasm so quickly, but then, the chances of modelers having kits in stasis was always gonna be high, a safe bet as the bookies might say, but I'm glad I created this groupbuild, always interesting to see what people have got stashed, waiting, for the sun 😄
Anyhow, looking forward to seeing the numerous unfinished projects take shape as well as my own Harrier, nice to finally get the dust off and the gloss on 🙂

babak chalangii have this F-15 that i started working on befre u can see it on my albums but i dont know how to added to this group !?
24 June 2014, 10:37
Choppa Nuttacreate a project for the F-15 and link to an album called -
The Neglected Kit Resurrection Groupbuild
You can change the name of your album to the above name, that will work too and then you're in 🙂
24 June 2014, 10:46
DutchI'm in! Let's see, I've got the FROG Hunter FGA.9 started 18 months ago and over half a dozen Phantoms started ~28 years ago, plus several kits in between. No end date to this contest, eh? Let me see how many I can complete by summers end. Thank you fo rthe motivation. R/ Dutch
24 June 2014, 09:45
Choppa Nuttahaha brilliant ! started 28 years ago ! lol, I suspect thats the most neglected model thus far 🙂
Hopefully you will be banging them out like prints off a hot press 😄
Btw, no contest as such but I might try and encourage people to do their Pick Of The Month as the builds get completed 🙂
Hopefully we'll see people rack up many old builds here 🙂
24 June 2014, 10:07
DutchGreat idea!
24 June 2014, 10:16
Choppa NuttaJonns fault really for his Kits of Shame thread, seemed like most modellers have unfinished kits somewhere that needed a little jog to get them going again 🙂
24 June 2014, 10:20
Fabian D.will attend
Fabian D.😄
Well... so many kits in the stash, so many ones started, so many more ideas... but so little time - life is hard😉
I was thinking of starting the Italeri StuG this weekend and as I want to do the Zimmerit with Miliput, I should get plenty of 3 hour setting breaks which I can dedicate on other kits...
24 June 2014, 09:36
Choppa NuttaHopefully finishing these Neglected Kits will make for some quick building 🙂
