Hi Tim, nice job. Was wondering if you had the same problem I'm having, that with the cockpit floor installed, the instrument panel is too tall to fit. If yes, could I please ask what you did to correct this? Thanks in advance. Best regards...Peter

BUT there is an overlap in the instrument panel - shown on this photo. Is that where your problem originates?

Tim, thanks for taking the time to reply. I've looked at your build photos and the back of my panel looks the same as yours as near as I can tell. Did you have the top set at an angle to the bottom or were they flat? Was it a tight fit when you put it all together? The other possibility is that I am not aligning the cockpit floor correctly, but I'm pretty sure that it's supposed to rest on the ridges on the inside of the fuselage halves. I have been filing the top of the panel but I'm reluctant to shave off too much more; I have also been thinning the inside of the cowling, but that hasn't accomplished much either. I can't glue the panel to the floor and then install it, nor can I install the floor and then fit the panel. If you can think of anything that I am missing here, I would very much appreciate hearing it, because quite frankly I am now officially stumped. Thanks in advance. Cheers...Peter

Hi Peter, I've retrieved the instructions to consult now. By ridges - you are refering to those for the wings, and not internal cockpit ribbing?
And how does the rear bulkhead align? You can see mine in this photo.

Tim, thanks for your patience and assistance. I think more than anything, I think I just needed to hear that the parts fit together as designed and intended from someone else. With your assurance, I just tried another dry fit and it all seems to work now. Not sure what I did differently this time compared to previous attempts, but I have if nothing else proven to myself that I don't need to do any more corrective surgery to put this kit together. I will keep you posted on my progress, if you're curious to see the final outcome. Again, my sincere appreciation for listening to my panicked ramblings. Cheers...Peter

Good day Tim, I have finally uploaded an album to show my progress with this beast; please feel free to have a look at your leisure. I'm hoping to start painting it over the course of the weekend, so it will still be a while before it's finished (given how long it typically takes me to finish anything).
