and you post a 'PREVIEW' from somewhere on a Korean site that you found, and joyfully post it here as a 'REVIEW' of a kit that is not out yet? Strong.

It's nothing personal, but the fuzz around this one kit in this mega-business is starting to annoy me. We have all seen the pictures of the test-sprues, read all the rifraf about the weapons, the prices etc, on all the different modelling forums ,You tube.

Patience boys and girls, it's just a matter of weeks and then you all can get loose on this, what I call, 'The release of the century of another Tomcat-kit'.

Germen, what a lot of the sites and posts have missed is the fact that weapons will be included, and that the pre-order price to the US from Japan is only $87 USD with the shipping.

Lots of comments around about this kit being "too expensive", based on the MSRP of the future, and the outdated thought that weapons won't be in the box.

This is according to a Tamiya spokesperson's posts. I'll see this kit at the US Nats.

I'll have to wait here in my little country till the kit hits the shelves to see it.

But i hope you understand my annoy in the fact that it is just another F-14, and i have nothing against it, in fact i love it.

How many companies are or had offered a F-14, regardless the quality, 8 (Hasegawa, Revell/Monogram, Academy, Italeri, Hobby Boss, Fujimi, Mastercraft and AMK. Just the fuzz around it because it's Tamiya.

Wasn't there any other military aircraft in the world that they could have produced that doesn't exist yet in 1/48.

BTW, if you look in the kit database here, there is already someone who marked it as in his stash.

oh, yeah, I get your point about "just another Tomcat". Just like you, I am waiting for some Never Produced stuff in my scale, as well. I don't see that guy's country on his profile,,,,,,maybe he is over there and got one of the pre-productions?

As I exclaimed 'First one is out there!' I meant the first review is posted on Scalemates. And it was a joy to see the details and the fine surface details. That's all. 🙂

Ik was dus blij dat er na heel veel speculatie en sporadische beelden van Tamiya zelf nu eindelijk eens van dichtbij naar de onderdelen van de kit kan worden gekeken. En ja, het is nog steeds wachten en geduld hebben, maar een beetje voorpret kan zeker geen kwaad. 😉
