A great kit with decent detail but I have long wanted any Japanese submarine kit in a bigger scale than 1/350th. There IS that (apparently) that hideously bad (if large) 1/72nd Junsen-gata kit done in the 1960's by the now long-defunct "Lindberg" company but little else so, for now, us Japanese submarine aficionados will just have to content ourselves with 1/350th scale or 1/700th scale offerings. In all honesty there's never been a ton of scale offerings when it comes to submarines of any nation but strangely enough, at least to me, almost nothing in the Japanese submarine kingdom and what an overlooked niche it is! So many classes and interesting variants that could be modeled in large or small scale but......so far...not much!
