Bill Newcomer Following. I have 3 C3 vettes I endeavored to build this year but I have a 1:1 engine project and kitbashed semi trailer taiking up all my free time.
Dominik Weitzer ...and now the things are getting complicated.
For a convertible, the details on the interiors are really bad from the fujimi.
luckily, i found some partscars from Tamiya on ebay. so i decided to choose the chassis with interior from the Tamiya and replace the sh*** from Fujimi.
You can see the differents between the details on the picture beside each other (Fujimi left, Tamiya right)
And - i was to fast with painting the body - now, i have to transfer the "rooflid":
That means, the rooflid is on the interior from the fujimi and the Tamiya has it on the body.
So than...cutting, sanding, testing, sanding, cutting and testing...and testing....and at the end, the lid was perfect.
Of cours, the lid was repainted. On the other hand, the blue came out too dark. And that means. it has to be repainted again *lol* ...and i forgot the hardtop to paint! perfect, buddy...clap on my shoulders and " well done".
If you think, you reach the finish line on the body, than start again *lol*.

Dominik Weitzer On the last three pictures you see the hardtop - from black, to primer, to blue. Perhaps, the color is lighter thann the body.
Nigel Chapman Nice build, I have one knocking around in my parts stash.
Fun nugget - The GT350H version was built especially for Hertz Rental. Allegedly drag racers would rent these for the weekend, swap the engine out into their own cars for racing then put it all back before returning the car Monday morning.

Martin, the color is a kind of Hemi-Orange. Really close to that, not exact matching.
Thanks Jv, i used from this Kit the hood. But it is not "matching" . i had to shortened on th efront because of the other grill and the70s Hood has shaper edges on the "inlays"

in the meantime i'm working on it for a winter diorama from our childhood. but it is not that easy to find "us" as childs...need to search for a 3d-printer to arrive my goal in mind :-D
Christian W As always 😄 --- I can agree: the front and rear ends fitting is a pain in the ass. After a lot of sanding, the side markers were gone but who cares. They are in the kit as decals.
I'd whish, you were going with the peanut butter yellow 😉

Christian W NEarly missed that! A nice grocery getter 🙂 The rear lights looking good. Ok. The whole kit is nicely done. It's astonishing, that this is the only build kit, what is connected to this kit on scalemates.

btw, i remember, that the rear lights were missing and i casted them from the GTP Coupe. Lucky enough, i had them and they were removable.
