David OrrThanks Gorby. I'm amazed that it came out so nice myself. I almost threw it in the bin when I saw how much of it was melted, but then I thought I might as well try and rescue it. It's very weird how the styrene goes when the tyres melt it. You can cut the melted bits off but it is soft on the inside and it will melt again. Thank goodness for Evergreen Styrene, Tamiya putty and Milliputt.

David OrrThanks George. It's a nice kit, but the plastic is a bit reactive with the SMS paints that I use. I've had to use Tamiya primer on the body and that seems to be working fine. Shame I nearly ruined it when it blew off my painting stand. I've upgraded to the Tamiya paint stand now. I've also got the cabriolet and the TWR European Touring Car Champs 1984 winner in the stash. The latter is my all-time favourite race car.

David OrrYes indeed, it was a nightmare. I'm quite happy with how it came out, despite all the dramas. It almost ended up in the trash a few times, especially when the weathering wash wouldn't come off. I had to use isopropyl to remove what I could, and that made the clear coat go hazy, but that came right with a light rub with Tamiya lacquer thinner.

David OrrIch danke Ihnen vielmals. Ich glaube nicht, dass ich jemals wieder einen dieser alten Pocher-Bausätze bauen werde. Es hat Spaß gemacht und ich liebe das Endergebnis, aber es war sehr zeitaufwendig und manchmal frustrierend.
Thank you very much. I don't think I'll ever build another one of these old Pocher kits. It was fun and I love the end result, but it was very time-consuming and frustrating at times.
