you can choose how multitopic items appear in your stash, by going to preferences, ans select "Hide double multitopic items in stash."

Would it be possible to have paints moveable to "Completed" the same way kits are? I attach paints to projects to keep track of what colors I've used, but once that bottle is used up I either have to leave it in the stash, which would be misleading if I'm checking what paints I actually have on hand, or delete it, which would remove the color from my projects. I realize you can edit the state to 0% remaining, but it still shows up in the stash which at quick glance would make me think I wouldn't need to buy more.

when seeing all products related to a kit, it woukd be really nice to filter them. for example in F-5E/F-5N Tiger II (AFV Club AR48101, 1:48) we could see just decals, or filter by text to see only exhausts

you ca add the date you purchased them. but if you want to have the date it was added to the stash (because like me you added all without dates) I am afraid that is not available

please add the option of "select all" when using filters. for example you are searching for something f and you have 20 brands, if you want one or two is great, but if you want all but one or two, the yiu have to click 18 to exclude the others. a small "all" next to the Male of the field to select all and then remove the ines you do not want would be great

Hey I thought all gundam related items are back in scalemates but I'm missing a few things from scalemates.

B-Packs Expansion Set for Na..ndai Spirits 5067268, 1:100)

For example, above item doesn't show when I search for it on scalemates. I thought the kit was not registered but when I tried adding it to the DB the edit page flagged it as potential duplicate and lead me to that page. It shows up on the Gundammate search but not in scalemates search or stash.

Many Airfix quick build products are listed here, which are not truly scale models but "Lego"-esque.

What about products from Cobi who offer many more, and arguably better/more relevant, products than Airfix?

What is the "truly scale model"? As technology improves, toys for kids are getting better details than old traditional scale model kits. The border is so personal and subjective. You may represent the main audience of this site, but you can also respect the new hobbyists, too. It's a keen issue.
Some people may upload a few off-topic kits to this site. I guess that they may leave soon because there are better wiki pages for their specific brands.

I am not dismissing or criticising the Airfix quick build products, sorry if that was the impression I gave. I agree with what you posted.

I do in fact own many of both the Airfix and Cobi products, and personally prefer the Cobi ones which have more parts/details/etc. Of course they do, they are on average 2-3 times more expensive.

What I meant was more "If Airfix, why not Cobi?" if you understand my meaning. By the way, you mention wiki pages... any links? The one I found for Cobi is not very good.

Yes this is debatable.

Unless I am wrong, but the nice thing about Cobi is that you actually see the bricks contures. (and that is the beauty)

So from that perspective Airfix is closer to plastic scale modeling than Cobi. (which is closer to Lego, from the outside)

if Cobi; why not Lego? eg. LEGO Icons 10330 McLaren MP4/4&Ayrton Senna

If Airfix wouldn't be a plastic modeling brand it would likely also not be allowed.

Sometimes the first topic given for a multitopic kit is repeated below it, in the multitopic list, but sometimes it is not, like in this item I just entered:
Diorama Accessory (Fujimi D5, 1:76)
This means it is also not possible to add any marking details. But all three Topics are still searchable, I notice.
Could it be because I based it on another item, and got the first Topic copied from there?
Just a curiosity, I guess, but it might just affect some functionality. It certainly would, if adding marking details was of interest for that particular kit.
Here's an example when all Topics, including the first one, are shown in the multitopic list:
House & Look-out (Nitto 449-250, 1:76)

No, the problem is solved here.

you need to fill in both Topic and subject field for multi-topic kits. And you can assign both the main topic and the extra topics. (without having to re-add the main topic a second time)

Is there no way to link two kits if they belong to different Topics, even though they share the same mouldings with minor additional parts? The specific case I have are two kits marketed as a shop and a garage, respectively, but the only difference (other than markings) is that the garage has a couple of pumps outside.
Another case is the same shop with two extra office floors added on top, making it fall under two topics. But even though one of them (shop) is the same, linking seems to be impossible.

The kit (there are actually several cases) is sold as:
1) Shop (just the ground floor, with a flat roof)
2) Shop and Office Block (same shop on ground floor, with additional parts for office above it)

I since found that it is possible to link the single-topic kit with the two-topic ones, provided that both have dates in the 196x format; initially the "original" kit (with the lower kit number) had the date 1966, since it is known, while the others had the date 196x date while the other one. Presumably there is some logic.

I don't have box top illustrations to show you, but I have now added catalogue illustrations to the entries so you can see them:

It appears PMMS has gone offline. I saw it is now existing on Meta with new content, but the old site has disappeared. I guess that could be permanent, it seems to me a huge loss of interesting data. That would mean a lot of reviews here now have become broken links.

In order to see if there are any images of the content you have to hit the edit content button. Then you only get thumbnails and no way to see the images unless you hit edit image. Come on that's horrible!

The kit fact list might want to include a list of materials that the kit is made of, such as styrene, resin, brass etc.. Some people are looking for resin kits and other want to avoid them because of their carcinogenetic qualities.

The search filter doesn't work when you try to filter bf 109. I assume this is because there are too many items. Is this a matter of waiting for the selection to process because I was only able to select full kit and no other options.

Regarding the missing WHAT IS IN THE BOX link, you know, as mentioned, it is not on the main model page, but if you choose EDIT CONTENTS link, and then click on the EDIT (pencil icon) link for any item (like sprues or decals), and then, once there, choose the VIEW link, voila ... you can get to the WHAT IS IN THE BOX page by clicking on the link, in blue, at the bottom of this page. And this is in the case of a model with multiple pictures there to be seen.

So, the page does exist, it is just there is no simple one click link to access it on the model main page. And it USED TO BE THERE! It was for ages.

So, this is useless in the extreme. Please correct it.

Just noticed something odd: when filling in price and date of purchase of an item it takes some time longer than usual and then saves 0.00 for price and blank for date, not what the input was. Other items work just fine. Tried logging off and on again but didn't help.

Shouldn't the Subtitle (Prefix) be shown in a smaller font, on the item view screen? Both in the heading and under Facts: compare Subtitle (Postfix). It is in a smaller font in the lists.
Strictly speaking, it should also be Suffix rather than Postfix.

I love the feature that notifies users when someone is selling an item on their wishlist. Is there anything on the roadmap to extend this functionality to stores as well? Being notified when a store adds something to my wishlist would be super helpful, and to my eye, it could also be a nice business opportunity for Scalemates.
