Thank you. The idea was inspired by an article in FineScale Modeler. The author of that article used this method to replicate a German armor idea.

I had a lot of fun building it. Most of the Jimmy Flintstone bodies that I have used have been pretty good. Like most resin bodies, they can be a little thick and have some pinholes to deal with.
I fell in love with the dog. It reminds me of my dog Spice.

Thank you .I was very fortunate to be awarded the trophy.
I have always thought the XKE was one of the most beautiful cars to come out of the 60's.
The Silk Cut XJR-9LM is my favorite Jaguar. I have several more to build. The next one will have opening doors and much more detailing. Finding good reference pictures is always a key, but I have found several builds done by very accomplished modelers.

Well, I gave up on the sanding, and threw it in the Super Clean.
I know that people have good results using brake fluid.
Another modeler by the name of Donn Yost, who has a YouTube channel has been warning modelers against using brake fluid on the newer kits. He claims that the manufacturers are changing the chemistry of the plastics they use and he has had car bodies crack in half. He always used brake fluid for years. He had a bath with a couple of gallons of brake fluid. He posted a video on his channel Scale Model Techniques. Good channel to check out.

I did use rustoleum 2 in one on a model
It sprayed on nice and smooth
After drying it was ruff
But it dident make as much damage as on yours
Hippy guy is a YouTube guy her uses it alot and gets great results
