Jaguars XKE and XJR-9 LM

This album is dedicated to two Jaguars that I have built over the years. I'm not sure what year the XKE represents, but the XJR-9LM represents the car which won Lemans in 1988. It actually won with a broken transmission that was stuck in fourth gear. The team cars lined up behind the "2" car in case the transmission would have failed completely and they were prepared to push the car across the line. 1988 was the last year Jaguar raced the V-12 at Lemans and for the "2" car, Lemans was the only race of the year that the car finished. 

With the bonnets open some of the detail can be seen. I plan to build more of the Jaguars in the future and really want to step up my skills on the next build projects.
The trophy was awarded for the XJR-9LMand was one of sixty produced for the year for all of North America.

The XJR-9 LM with the engine cover removed. I didn't have any really good pictures to use as a reference for detailing the engine bay.I also plan to add opening doors to the next project of this race car.
