This is built as L8840, A Blenheim Mk.IVF which flew with 254.Sqd.
It was shot down over Norway on april 15. 1941 by a Bf110.
Pilot Archibald Edmund Hill, navigator Ronald Hector Laurence Cressy and gunner/radio operator George James William Webb all died in the crash that followed.
In a last heroic act, Hill managed to steer his burning Blenheim away from a house, and insted into a marsh nearby.
