Ignacio von Braun, because it's difficult to drive a tank if you can't see. I guess you could go into battle with your head hanging out of an open hatch, but that makes no sense. The extra plates were on either side of the vision port.

Possibly Ben ? the Be-6 l recently built had a Schnorchel intake on the side looked like it was to supply air to the flight engineer.... probably was hot from the greenhouse effect of the large glass canopy.

I'm building my first Eduard Mig-21 at the moment too, I'm done with the assembly phase and I think it's brillant kit.
I took my time and cleaned the sprue gates are neatly as possible and I'm impressed by the quality of Eduard's engineering.

Working on the boats and the result is ok for my Graf Spee. But comparing them with the boats Jörg are doing is like comparing a kids crayon painting with the Mona Lisa😥
