Album info

Ki-61-I Hei "Red 43", 244 Sentai, Japan 1945. This is truly a flawless Tamiya model in 1/72 scale. The only modifications I made were decals from Techmod, brass tube cannons and an antenna. Camouflage was airbrushed freehand to represent the actual aircraft from the images, to the best of my ability. Interestingly the camouflage pattern differed between port and starboard side. Chipping was done with silver pencil and exhausts with pigments. Model 22 for 2023!
