I made a view more modifications today. I added a coaxial machine gun made from an Aber MG34 barrel and an armored antenna base I had in my spare box. Further I added a fixed periscope for the loader and a resin antenna base on the back of the turret. Just trying to make it look like a "functional" vehicle. Makes sense?! ...think so! 😉

Thanks but I didn't do any fading though 😉 Just primed it black, added shadows in white and slapped the camo on

Looking great Sebastian!!!
I'm behind taking pictures and upload them on my E-project but I've been fighting a troublesome whitewashed winter camo on my E-25 that didn't behave like I wanted too... But I made progress last night so I will soon catch up with my E-100 35A015 so I can get on with the other seven kits😉
Are you making a diorama/base for your models as well?

Thanks Jens!
Well you have a huge project there...and after all it's not a competition! 😉
No at the moment I'm not planning a diorama...to much work 🙂

I don't like competitions in hobbies so no worries there. In fact I think competitions bring out the worst in some people. I prefer to get inspiration from others work and to encourage them whenever I can! You don't look like you need any encouragement though because your E-100 is looking fantastic - and I will draw inspiration from your models! 🙂
My E-series lineup will need some sort of backdrop I think in order to bring it together, but no full diorama. More like a basic "ground" and a backdrop with some features to frame them. I've been thinking of creating some "outside factory" look & feel - but this can change many times before I'm done😉
It's easy to understand why the French and the Russians took a lot of design elements from the E-series when they built the first post-WWII generations of tanks. Some features of the E-series are still visible today in modern tanks!
I have no interest in the politics regarding WWII but the German engineering was miles ahead of anything else back then - both armour and aircraft, and this is what I'd like to honour by making my a bit bonkers build!
Thank you for sharing your project and pictures! 👍

Than we're on the same page! 😉 I for one think there is way to much competition and rivet counting going on in our hobby anyway which helps no one really.
Thanks for the compliment Jens. I'm just trying my best even though I still have a lot to learn. For instance the E-100 is the first build where I tried to add streaks. I must say I was surprised how nice it turned out.
Why don't you just build one diorama for the E-100s. Since they all have the same length tracks, put them on one after another a take some scenic shots, just an idea born out of my laziness 😉
Exactly: It's the revolutionary engineering that inspires me to build paper panzers, not the political regime that aided to their creation...!

Prost. Good comments there. As long as a modeller is happy with his/her stuff, all is good! I like your approach and am eagerly waiting for progress 😄 haha

Thx Blaubär
Exactly I don't really see the the point in hyperrealism and rivet (...or bean) counting. I find that to be the most destructive "force" in this hobby. Nothing is worst than after weeks of working on a kit to the best of your abilities, you than proudly present it to the crowd ...and get verbally ripped to pieces because a bunch of rivets are off by two microns, or the yellow you used is a touch too yellow. Utter rubbish...!
I say, do what you can to make your model look exactly how you want it to look! I got and still get a lot of inspiration from posts and builds here on SCM. If I can give some inspiration back to one or two mates I'm happy and a little bit proud as well 👍 😉
Thx Blaubär

Wow Sebastian! What a finish!!!
And the figure is beyond fantastic... easily one of the best 1/35 scale I've seen!!!
What figure is it? It looks too detailed to be just included in any kit?
Very well planned and executed and my hat off for this superb build! 🙂 👍

Fantastic finish! Very cool weathering and camo. 👍
The project thumbnail, did you do the drawings?

Thx mates!! I'm blushing 🙂
@Jens: The figure is from Alpine Miniatures. All of their figures are beautifully detailed. I have a few in my stash, but this one is only the second one I came around finished.
please leave your hat on 😉
@Ingo: No I certainly didn't draw it myself 😉 I was looking online for a picture to use. But I found either line drawings, sketches or pictures of somebody else's model (which is out of the question to use). I just liked the rather raw style of it.

Album info
Amusing Hobby's E-100! 🙂
Great detail, good fit, easy assembly...just a very nice kit. The only thing I changed is the addition of a commanders copula from the spare box. Just to provide all around view for the man in charge. Makes sence?! I think so!
