The little tail cart is finished, used Tamiya's 1:48 kit as guide
Primer applied - seams everywhere! 🙁
This primer is really smooth - I thinned it with Gunze's Leveling Thinner
After sanding, sprayed the very powerful AK primer to erase the remaining seams
First layer of AK Xtreme Aluminiumrevealed to be not very shiny, so I gave it a light sand

...very difficult to hold in place and it insists in getting skewd down

The Aires set does not have two of the supports - added these with Albion Alloys tube, it really helps giving strengh to the supports

A touch of rust using Light Rust Wash (A.MIG-1004)
Cabling added as per references with copper wire of 0,2 and 0,3mm

Preparing the layout of the base
Made some pavement squares from 1000 grit sandpaper glued with CA to a thin Evergreen styrene sheet; after that the squares were glued to the wood base with contact glue
Pavement tiles glued and flexible tape applied around it to prevent damage to the base
Testing the layout
A small suggested wooden box (made from plasticard) is covered by aluminium foil and three wooden planks (also from Evergreen plasticard)
Prop covered with AK Grey Primer
Several base colors applied
Change of colors, I feel the Tamiya work better, because they are more matt
Final toning down with Tamiya XF-53 and base earth painted with two brown Vallejo tones
Tarp and wooden planks ready

Painting the CMK figure; using Vallejo 70.904 for pants, 70.940 for jacket and helmet, 70.871 for shoes and AK 3010 set for flesh

Ricardo ReisThanks. The kit is beautifully detailed, which make it difficult to preserve all the tiny rivets, specially where you have to sand. Also the nose is a difficult part to fit. And, of course, the Aires engine is a nightmare! 😄
