Vickers Medium Tank MKII, Egypt 1940. The main Royal Army medium tank between the World Wars, the Vickers Medium were retired by 1938 but a handful that were still in Egypt were put into service with the 4th Heavy Armored Brigade (later became the 4th Armored Brigade)

A13 Cruiser Tank MK IV, Libya, December 1941, 7th Armored Brigade, Operation Crusader. The A13 was the first Cruiser tank to feature the Christie suspension. Introduced just prior to the beginning of WWII, the A13 was obsolete by the time of this battle and was being replaced by the A15 Cruiser tank, Crusader. The A13 Cruiser tank had mechanical reliability issues and the 2 PDR main gun was obsolete (not upgraded on the A15 until late 1942). The tank Camo and markings are typical of the Crusader Battle. The Caunter Camouflage pattern consisting of dark green and light gray green in large angular shapes were sprayed over the light stone base color was common on 8th Army tanks and vehicles from mid 1941 to early 1942. Large white-red-white vertical stripes were also applied for friend of foe recognition and was limited to the Crusader Battle.

A15 Cruiser Tank, Crusader MKII, Egypt, October 1942, 2nd Battle of El Alamein. The Crusader was a much-improved model over the A13 with better engine, suspension, and armor. The main gun remained the 2 PDR and mechanical reliability was still problematic. Camouflage is a typical 1942 pattern of wavy black areas over light stone base color. A large blue-white-red roundel is painted on the rear engine deck for aerial identification.

T17E1 Heavy Armored Car, Staghound, June 1944, Normandy, 11th Hussars. The British tank commission selected the prototype T17 in late 1941 for lend lease production. The design was not adopted by the US Army, but 3,844 units were produced for Great Brittain beginning in December 1942. Camouflage is a very dusty Olive Drab or SCC 15 (British OD).
