I'm going to remove it, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it.
Maybe I think this winker is too small and shallow for simple replication.

Since we won't be using the bumper, we filled in the hole.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/8/6/3/1623863-37066-94-720.jpg)
There was a parting line in that area and it was not easy to remove.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/8/6/5/1623865-37066-66-720.jpg)
Take a 'pla-plate' and drill a small hole in it...
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/8/6/6/1623866-37066-46-720.jpg)
Bonnet rod done.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/8/6/8/1623868-37066-75-720.jpg)
I painted the inside black to prevent light through.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/8/6/7/1623867-37066-39-720.jpg)
From the outside, the black on the other side has darkened the whole thing, and the thinner parts are heavily darkened.
If you don't do any light blocking, these areas will remain as a plastic texture.

After 3-5 days, it should recover enough to be useful.

Pre-painting.
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/8/7/3/1623873-37066-67-720.jpg)
Painted body color.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/8/7/4/1623874-37066-56-720.jpg)
Because of the nice injection color of the plastic, I decided not to paint the interior body color, so I painted only cabin black.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/8/7/5/1623875-37066-85-720.jpg)
As you can see, the unpainted side looks surprisingly painted.

I was concerned about the thickness, so I painted an extra coat of clear coat to that area.

It's smooth well.
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/8/8/4/1623884-37066-87-720.jpg)
While the bodyshell dried, I trimmed the parts.
When I was done, I only had a handful.

![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/8/8/5/1623885-37066-48-720.jpg)
The muffler doesn't have a hole drilled in it, so I drilled it deep.
![Album image #27 Album image #27](/albums/img/8/8/6/1623886-37066-73-720.jpg)
These parts don't look like much, but I had to overpaint them a couple times. (Blue on the White, Chrome on the Gloss Black)
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/8/8/7/1623887-37066-45-720.jpg)

Masked.
![Album image #31 Album image #31](/albums/img/9/3/5/1629935-37066-76-720.jpg)
I did the masking roughly, and paint particles blown by the wind ended up outside the masking area.
So I had to clear it with a compound.

Unmasked.
![Album image #35 Album image #35](/albums/img/9/3/9/1629939-37066-88-720.jpg)
Tamiya flat aluminium is very nice paint.
![Album image #36 Album image #36](/albums/img/9/4/0/1629940-37066-61-720.jpg)
I cut the silver foil stickers left over from the Gunpla with a circle cutter and stuck them on the gauge panels rim of dashboard.
![Album image #37 Album image #37](/albums/img/9/4/1/1629941-37066-89-720.jpg)
This time, I used Gunpla's silver foil stickers with a low sheen.
![Album image #38 Album image #38](/albums/img/9/4/2/1629942-37066-66-720.jpg)
Painted with paint brush.
I thought the matte aluminum parts were too bright, so I toned them down with a washing.

![Album image #39 Album image #39](/albums/img/9/4/3/1629943-37066-55-720.jpg)
The edges were painted with a silver marker.
![Album image #40 Album image #40](/albums/img/9/4/4/1629944-37066-33-720.png)
It's time to make the blinker that I thoughtlessly got rid of, and this is what it originally looked like.
![Album image #41 Album image #41](/albums/img/9/4/5/1629945-37066-86-720.jpg)
It's a very small part, so I don't think I can do the same with my eyesight, but I'll just have to mimic it.
It's sad that I'm getting older.

![Album image #42 Album image #42](/albums/img/9/4/6/1629946-37066-71-720.jpg)
I think I can attach the cut silver foil first, and then attach the clear orange parts right before completion.
But I don't know why it looks big even though I cut the foil according to the previously measured size.

![Album image #43 Album image #43](/albums/img/9/5/5/1629955-37066-51-720.jpg)
Masking the tail lamps was a bit tricky, so I had to use a masking-sol as well.
![Album image #44 Album image #44](/albums/img/9/5/6/1629956-37066-45-720.jpg)
I will need to mask and paint the silver one more time and then paint the border black.
I also had to draw a tiny square with a very thin silver border in the center, but that was beyond my capabilities.

![Album image #45 Album image #45](/albums/img/9/6/1/1629961-37066-25-720.jpg)
I coated the emblem in the middle of the wheel with UV resin.
![Album image #46 Album image #46](/albums/img/9/6/2/1629962-37066-18-720.jpg)
Painted panel-line.
![Album image #47 Album image #47](/albums/img/9/6/3/1629963-37066-21-720.jpg)
Ready to assemble.
![Album image #48 Album image #48](/albums/img/9/6/4/1629964-37066-98-720.jpg)
Assembled engine room.

I dropped it, and it landed on the glue, and it fell upside down.
I really hate 'Murphy'. I like 'Sally' but I think she hate me. T_T

Sanded and recovered.

I think this was the most difficult part of assembling this kit.
When assembled without the net, the parts fit together well, but when the net is installed, they do not fit together at all. In the end, I had to force myself to attach it to the appropriate location and secure it.

![Album image #55 Album image #55](/albums/img/9/7/5/1629975-37066-93-720.jpg)
The side window is installed from the inside like a snap kit, so I had to push them in hard until they clicked.
The front and rear glass must be attached from the outside and adhesive applied from the inside.

![Album image #56 Album image #56](/albums/img/9/7/6/1629976-37066-55-720.jpg)
I lost the part shown, so I bent a metal-rod to make it.
![Album image #57 Album image #57](/albums/img/9/7/8/1629978-37066-87-720.jpg)
Now it's just a matter of gluing the remaining parts together as instructed.
![Album image #58 Album image #58](/albums/img/9/7/9/1629979-37066-58-720.jpg)
Done.
In fact, the front grille emblem, keyhole, and bumper holes still need work, but I've gotten them done for my last post of the year. 😉

Lovely car and a great result. I like how you also show the little mistakes. It's comforting to know that someone with your excellent skills encounters some setbacks. Anyway, fantastic job. Keep it up!

Excellent result. I just received my kit and flipped through your album again. Which color did you use for the body? TS-8?
