Interior and small parts primed black
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/9/0/8/1513908-43601-22-720.jpg)
I started by scribing some lines on the fuel tank
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/9/0/9/1513909-43601-82-720.jpg)
Better than a plain tank 🙂
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/9/1/3/1513913-43601-96-720.jpg)
Undercarriage mainly XF-22. At least it is more detailed than the cockpit 🙂
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/9/1/2/1513912-43601-20-720.jpg)
Interior painted XF-24. It is very basic as the tool is from 1976.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/9/1/4/1513914-43601-55-720.jpg)
Painted some details and dry-brushed a little bit of aluminium paint

Gloss coat on the internal parts
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/9/4/2/1519942-43601-56-720.jpg)
Cockpit is OOB except I added the seat belt
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/9/4/3/1519943-43601-31-720.jpg)
Panel liner
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/9/4/4/1519944-43601-90-720.jpg)
Started the main assembly. The fit of the wing on top is not good...
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/9/4/5/1519945-43601-77-720.jpg)
Filler needed also on the lower surfaces
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/9/4/6/1519946-43601-96-720.jpg)
Putty applied
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/9/4/7/1519947-43601-56-720.jpg)

Drilled out the exhaust pipes
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/9/4/9/1519949-43601-23-720.jpg)
And replaced the pitot tube that I broke previously
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/9/5/0/1519950-43601-58-720.jpg)
Also drilled out the wing guns
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/9/5/1/1519951-43601-73-720.jpg)
Sanded everything and masked the cockpit
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/9/5/3/1519953-43601-85-720.jpg)
And painted the internal color of the canopy
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/9/5/2/1519952-43601-22-720.jpg)
Drilled the small hole in the spinner
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/6/3/0/1520630-43601-12-720.jpg)
Decided to try the Aqueous Surfacer by Mr. Hobby as primer for yellow painted areas. Quite happy with it, it's like priming with Tamiya or Gunze paint
![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/0/4/1/1542041-43601-25-720.jpg)
Painted white areas with XF-2
![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/0/4/2/1542042-43601-47-720.jpg)
Masked the spinner for the white spiral, it's tricky in 1:72
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/0/4/3/1542043-43601-13-720.jpg)
Painted the spinner and the tail band in black

Unmasked the spinner, I´m ok with the result 🙂
![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/0/4/5/1542045-43601-27-720.jpg)
Masked the areas to protect from primer
![Album image #27 Album image #27](/albums/img/0/4/6/1542046-43601-33-720.jpg)
And apply primer, again Mr. Hobby Aqueous Surfacer, very nice and easy to use
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/0/4/7/1542047-43601-98-720.jpg)
Applied marbling
![Album image #29 Album image #29](/albums/img/0/4/8/1542048-43601-45-720.jpg)

![Album image #30 Album image #30](/albums/img/0/4/9/1542049-43601-98-720.jpg)

![Album image #31 Album image #31](/albums/img/5/7/6/1552576-43601-87-720.jpg)
![Album image #32 Album image #32](/albums/img/5/7/7/1552577-43601-58-720.jpg)
RLM83. It's a shame that most of the preshading is hard to see
![Album image #33 Album image #33](/albums/img/5/7/8/1552578-43601-34-720.jpg)
And a bit of light mottling. No major disasters so just with that I'm happy 🙂

Hi Al,
Your work is really impressive on these very old and basic kits. This Dora is going to be beautiful like your Tempest. Bravo.

Thanks a lot mates. Bozo, your words are very kind, I appreciate the comment very much! I have a soft spot for the Dora and would hate to make a mess of this build. There are still a few more very old kits where this one came from.

Your paint skills are on point! I'm especially impressed by the spinner and your pre-shading
Well done!

Thanks Clement. You are too kind, I struggle with free hand and mottling like most mates! 😂

Really a great job on that venerable kit!
May I ask what do you use to dilute the W&N Galeria flat?

Thanks Andrea! I dilute W&N Galeria with distilled water. 75% varnish to 25% water, it sprays in the airbrush really well, no tip dry (0.4 needle and 25 psi).
