It Looks so. First I compared it with the Monogram 911 (wrong scale, no sliding roof) and the old Revell (Premium & others) or Fujimis Enthusiast-kits (engine more parts or "cheap" axle"😢 and Tamiya (no opening hoods). The sprues are completely different. This kit comes with a sliding roof, which I didn't found. The under carriage is different to others and the body doesn't have an opening front hood (like the Valliant / Jägermeister).

I didn't found a kit with the same sprues - the engime parts are at the plated sprue e.g.. Some parts look like "Premium" (engine) but that's all in common.
Pictures of the sprues are on the website of Revell germany

That does not look like a new tool. If you compare the sprue shots to the plan of 85 4330, it is the same parts breakdown. Now, I do not know the origins of that kit either, but it looks like a late
'80's-ish tooling.

Cool, thanks for the explanation! I am rather surprised with this release because it isn't listed in the 2017 catalogue. I would love them to bring out some newer Porsche models as a kit. 991 or 997 Turbo perhaps?

Strange, the scale specified for this kit is everywhere 1:25, on Revells website and on most seller sites, just the box says 1:24.

It does seem to share certain parts with the 1:25 kit...the only way to resolve this will be tot get one's hands on the kit. But I'm willing to bet that this is not a new tool.

@Johan Perremans .. Do you have a kit review for scalemates.com/kits/935614-revell-85-4330-porsche-911-turbo ?

I checked the instructions for 85-4330 with the parts of the 07179 in my mind. I think, it is the rebox for Germany. Don't know, why the scale is different. But as we know, they brought the Kenworth Wrecker or Kenworth Dumptruck in 1/24 and later in 1/25 on the box. The kits are still the same. I have them all and compared them because of that scale thing 😄

I'll change the kit to a rebox.

Oh! Then I see, that the Monogram (scalemates.com/kits/176899-monogram-2956-porsche-911-turbo) is also 1/24 with sliding roof. Hmm. Based on this? Looks like.
Knowledge gap closed 🙂?

@Christian: no, but the plan is on the page. It is the same kit.
Also, just al look at the sprues reveals that this is a vintage kit; typical eighties parts breakdown and rather chunky sprues.

When looking at the sprues, it shows Monogram design in the part lay-out.

Shame, though, they could have made a nice modern Turbo tool from the 934 tool...
