You aren't gonna know what to do with your time when you get this done. May I suggest building a model or two?🙃

😂No problem with that Lawrence, there's the Dodge Ram front suspension to finish off, Ford Transit with mid mounted engine to finish, G Wagon gasser needs some Dremel time to fit engine oh and the classic Bedford OSB needs more planning, collecting parts for a 4x4 VW Golf….

I always fancied the tanker, from this kit, for a future build I have. Keen to see how this one builds up, Nigel.

Hey Bozzer, these are really nice kits, well packaged with highly detailed parts . I would say they are on par with Meng for quality.
I got both of mine for good prices though I have seen them anywhere between £30-50.
You should know me by now it's never going to be box stock! Plans are in the pipeline.

I know you well enough, to look out for your future builds!
I'm still trying to find a balance between my spare time and modelling. There's so much to do, but no time to get it done? Hence why I'm trying to get my incomplete builds finished. I've condensed a lot of boxes, but there's still a shed load more.

Shit dude, only just stumbled upon this 🙁
So, absolutely, my condolences to you and your family.
Recently, I lost my sister and brother, within 10 days of eachother. We probably were going through the same thing, at the same time?
Before my sister left us, she gave me a few things of our dads. Not model related, but his passion, his hobby.
My dad got me into trains, as a kid. Hornby, as we knew it. Being a working class family, with 1 bread winner, during the 70's, I had nothing. Just Action Man. Ended up with the coolest Action Man collection, on the estate! But still no trains. Early 80's, an luck struck, in the form of a Mainline train set! Then the dreams started! Still never had chance to build a huge layout, but I managed an 8x4. Nearly 30 years later, and I fell into the trap. Literally, bought everything I ever wanted, as a kid. Again, nobody told me that I'd need a warehouse, to build my dream! Scaled down to N gauge, and I still have the whole lot of everything! Both UK and USA, N gauge/Scale, and UK OO gauge, and USA N Scale. Two mini layouts built, and no place to put them! But that stuff, follows me around, like a traffic warden! Why do I do it? I honestly don't know? Nostalgia, because I can, because it was my dream? I can't tell you why, because I honestly don't know myself? I have my model truck collection now, and I love building, so I don't even have the time to keep up with any of it?
But I will say this....
I just know, that my dad would've been in my cave, more than me, and I can guarantee, them friggin trains would be running 😉
Keep it real brother, and do what you believe is right 🙂

Hey Bozzer thank you 🙏 so sorry for your own loss. It makes you think when loved ones are gone
If I'm honest my dad had so much stuff that we just could not keep all of it. Out of the four grandchildren, only my eldest lad is into railways, so we all kept items as mementos, the rest has gone to fellow railway enthusiasts, which my dad would have been pleased with, hence very little modelling of my own!
Oh well, we are two-thirds of the way through selling the railway items, then onto the buses and vehicles not forgetting my mum's dolls houses and teapots!!
All of our family are creative in many different ways - computers, model cars, full-size classic cars, needlework, DIY, and painting so the legacy will live on.

Can't fault you mate. Idle hands, and all that? Because of the glorious weather we've had, this last two weekends, I've started on my new cave. I've got some pictures, but they're nothing spectacular yet. I'll throw them together and maybe create an album? Currently, I have all 4 sides framed. Now I need to get the ply. I've secured 34 sheets of 8x4 1/2". They will form my walls, floor and roof. The exterior will be cladded and the interior painted. I just hope that this weather holds out for a few more weeks? My plan is to remove the old garden shed, assemble the new cave, then move the old cave stuff, into the new cave, in a weekend. Lol, I know, I'm nuts!

I picked up the early set, a while ago. The boom is actually quite good, and I also have a tail lift. Worse thing is, I can't remember what I bought it for? Time to make more detailed notes, I think? Lol
