Album image #1
Extra Dark Sea Grey going on first.

Miracle Masks camo mask set. I was hoping for good things, so disappointed. The adhesive was left all over the model ?‍♂️

Album image #4
Masks went on as advertised. They are a little old, regardless the adhesive separated from the mask and left gunk all over the model. I used Goo Gone to clean it up successfully.

Album image #5
Sticky bits all over from the camo masks ?‍♂️

Album image #6
Sticky all removed with Goo Gone and damaged paint repaired.

The door fell off and I couldn’t find it. Made a mould with Blue Stuff and a different kit. So now I will fit a “broken door and have a “new door” being unpacked for a crate I made.

Album image #8
Using kitchen foil is new for me and I am loving the results with the folded tarp and crate packing.

Album image #9
A mix of fine concrete, grout, plaster and pva glue to give me the texture I wanted for 1:48.

Album image #10
Pre-shading and staining.

Album image #11

Album info

Out of the box build of this Revell kit of a FAA war bird.
The Seafire was a real mix bag. The Spitfire was a successful fighter for the RAF, but its hasty conversion was not perfect. In the sky it was a formidable fighter, but a little heavier due to reinforcements. On the flight deck a disaster, primarily because the undercarriage was far too narrow and bouncy.
Nonetheless, a beautiful looking aircraft.
