So work continues on this beast. Fit is really bad, engine bay covers would not fit around installed engines. I had to make about 1/8 of an inch sheet plastic shims to close the gap at the bottom edge of the fuselage, where the bay covers meet the area between the engines. The forward main gear doors do not fit well,(they are closed when gear is down) and will require filler, sanding and re-scribing and re-riveting. Finally got the intakes to fit, and they are re-scribed and re-riveted. The wings are the only thing that have gone together well. The weapons are pretty good. I will not let this thing kick my butt. Though it has almost became a missile a few times. I will try and get some more pictures up tomorrow.

Always happy to see a Jaguar - "tough little ship" & so many cool options for different camo variants. And Cilfford has a gift for "the finish", looking forward to see this evolve!

Take the best bits and stick them on the Airfix offering.

I have the old Airfix one too. Struggle to see how that is much better 😄

Nice Jag Clifford, fit looks bit of a pig.. (Mind, its still a damn sight better than the airfix offering)
Really odd little jet, RAF types used to say only reason it got airborne was curvature of the earth.

Yes the fit kind of stinks. I think it made to be built with everything open. It is primed now and the undersides are painted. I will try and get some more pictures up soon. I actually have the old ESCI kit. It is a GR-1. I have gotten a boat load of after market stuff for it. I could not find any over wing sidewinder rails for it, so thought I was going to have to scratch build a set, but this kit had them, along with the Laser guided bombs and other goodies I needed for a GR-1. So lucked out in that respect.

I have to get a couple of the Hasegawa weapons sets. Have a Hasegawa F-104 and a couple of Hasegawa F-16's that I need weapons for.

How could I missed this 😄, watching mate! I still wondering why this aircraft is not molded yet by more manufacturers...it is probably my all time favorite jet!

Welcome Jos. I agree, don't know why more companies do not do it. It also is one of my favorites.

I did the Airfix then Heller then Revell kit. IT IS A PIG. I want to get this one to see how it compares. From what I am seeing here, the KH seems better though not great.

I built the Heller one also. I used the Airfix PE detail set on it as well as a NeoMega resin pit. The engineering on this one sucks rocks, and fit is not good. But I think it will look better than the other 2 in the end. This one now has it's final colors, only need to do some touch up's, and I can put the clear coat on it and start decals.

Heard only bad about this kit but you seem to have tamed this beast quite well. Looking forward to the final steps. 👍
