Tying off loose ends - Typhoon and Mosquito builds started in 2015-16

Album image #1
Painted, Decals on, ready for a clearcoat and some weathering... Lucky for me, as the Mozzie was stripped and repainted, I had some spare roundels hanging around, which, along with a second copy of the same kit in my stash, gave me enough decals to replace what I had stripped off (and I can still build the other kit later in the alternate livery...). Not really apparent in this photo, but the Typhoon has D-Day identification stripes on the underside. For some reason I thought it might be a good idea to use the decals rather than just making some masks and painting them on... in any case, we got there in the end, despite some nightmares getting the rocket pods on (they're mountedright in the middle of the decal). If all goes well, I'll get enough spare time to myself to finish both of these by March.

Mozzie continues to give me issues, some unnoticed rough patches in the gloss coat meant that the panel line wash didn't come off as clean as
I'd like, and the roundels I used on the wings (possibly from an old Academy kit) are noticeably thicker than the Tamiya ones, and don't conform very well to the shape of the aircraft.
