Yea, I'm a fanatic. Actually I started this one before I finished the last one.

Good looking Viper!
If I may, I think the AIM-120 was never used on the USAF A models, except for the ADF version. So you should use AIM-9s instead.

Thank you very much Guillaume, and Maciej for your kind words. @Maciej, thanks I will do that, I had primed 4 Aim-9's so will just put 4 aim 9's on it.

What I am reading here, it may well have been on A's. It seems to have definitely been tested on them.

Thanks Donald, so it depends on the year and whether the A model was retrofitted or not. Tough call...

Thank you very much Donald, Maciej and Erik. I was just doing some research also, and found out they carried Aim 7 sparrows also. Since I am doing an A+ the Aim-120 would be ok, but I will do the 4 Aim 9's and either 2 bombs or 6 Mavericks.

From Donald's references, since I am doing an ANG bird, which I believe were designated ADF versions like Maciej said, the AIM-120 would also be correct. So I guess it would not totaly be out in left field. But I have 4 later "C" models, so think I will save the AIM-120's for them. Thanks guys for the info and help, much appericated.

Thank you James, for your kind words. They are much appericated. The kit has been good with no major fit problems. I got the clear coat on it today, so I will be ready to start decals tomorrow and get the weapons painted.

I make my own, by using a mixture of black and brown water color paints, with some soft pastel chalk mixed in with a few drops of dish washing liquid. For pin washes I use the Mig enamel panel line washes. I would like to try the Flory Models washes, but have not been able to find them here in the States. She has wheels, and a partial weapons load now.

Thank you very much Nathan, WhiteGlint and Arif. Your kind words are much appericated. I still need to add the sidewinders to the wing tips, and the Mavericks and it will be finished.

Thank you all very much for your kind words and encouragement, it means a lot to me. I am glad you all like it. I must say it was a joy to build, it was only my 3rd Hasegawa kit, that I have built in all my years of modeling, and it was very nice. @Sergej, you are correct sir, it is another Eagle. This one for my son. It will be from the First Fighter wing at Langley AFB. He worked on them when he was stationed there and finally talked me into building one for him.
