Good Morning, Dave Very unusual paint scheme, and the weathering adds a lot to the gloss finish. Remarkably done, even more so when I think about the scale. Catch Ya, Logan (This is not like the gold/white blue/black dress finishes that everyone is talking about on the internet?? The plane is really gold/white/red/black???)

This is an extremely interesting scheme. I know next to nothing about Japanese aircraft colors but found this interesting article: j-aircraft.com/resea..old_claude_i_saw.htm In any case, great job!

Thanks for the comments guys. John E ...great article! Logan, the pictures make the plane look more golden than it actually is. I was going for a translucent tan colour with a touch of gold as the instructions call for. I used an even mix of Tamiya clear, clear orange, clear yellow and smoke. I hope to have it at Wednesday's meeting for the out of box theme, it will be in the mall show as well. See you.

Japanese carrier based fighter. Very fun kit built entirely out of the box. My very first 1:72.
