Sometimes the auto rotate function is not there, if you've taken a vertical picture....

Nice museum Arne. Wrong side of the Atlantic for me, but maybe one day. I really like the lifelike mannequins and detailed uniforms they have on display. 🙂

@Es-hay
No, I put the pics on my Laptop and than take them into this super forum.
@Alan
I can say the same about your museums in North America. But I´ve a good friend in Calgary, maybe I visit she someday. 😉
@All
I have fotograph all displays in the museum, so I have more photos. I can say, it is a really interessting, but it needs a lot of time for uploading them.

@Arne: are you using a Mac laptop? Because by default it does auto-rotate but ONLY on screen. The actual file will still be either portrait or landscape (depending on how the picture was taken). If you are using a MacBook, you should probably disable the auto-rotate function, or you will never be able to see the actual contents of the image file, hence unable to correct the orientation 😉
Very nice pictures, by the way! Thanks for sharing! 👍 👍 🙂

Maybe the program does auto-rotate then? It must be something like that, where the image get rotated by the application. Image orientation is stored in image EXIF information, which is then read by the program, which rotates the image on-screen.
Weird problem 😛 but we'll figure it out somehow 😉

Then take a look at this: irfanview-forum.de/a..ndex.php/t-7474.html
Talks about the auto-rotate function in IrfanView based on EXIF information. You should disable it.
Hope it helps! 😄

#4 is interesting for the damage patterns associated with various projectiles that hit the front plate.
