Burkhard DWhy not just use Aerospatiale Gazelle? The General Motors FM is listed under the Grumman F4F Wildcat topic likewise.

Juan M LeriaIt's not the same. The Wildcat is a Grumman design built by GM as sub-contractot, but the Gazelle was a cooperative Aerospatiale-Westland design, in equal terms.

Burkhard DFollowing your logic we would have to put the Lynx and the Puma under the Aerospatiale/Westland label likewise. I don't think you want to go there 🙂

Juan M LeriaWell, you are right up to a point, but the Lynx was a Westland design from the start with Aerospatiale having a 1/3 share (+ or -) in the building process and jsut for the French-ordered machines; and the Puma was just the same but inverted.
Anyway, if our British mates have no objections with 'Aerospatiale Gazelle', me neither.
