Hi James Thank you and I hope i will get them all4 to a reasonable Result :)
SO the engine for the revell A-1a got its 1st washing and drybrushing...
Still no sign of a new canopy by Revells Department X :(

Ps those deep engraved lines with the airfix kit are really not realistic at all

A bit true indeed, that's why I'm going to cover them with "putty" ;)

Nice job on that camouflage

Hi Lukasz, yap but i will do this for the academykit, which Fuselage panels are also much too deep.
The Me 262 Body was in fact smooth and clean like a baby popo...
It should be though it was made for min slipstream ..
@Roland yap thank you James, though i must amit it takes time to get used to work with the EVolution
and Gunze colors with such detailpainting.
My old Badger Velocity was a charm in that Discipline, but the construction o the nozzle forced me to change the tool. I so not want to spend a 100€ a year for new nozzles and needles. :)

Get the pressure control thingy for the Evolution, you'll love it.
I'm just glad my shop informed me today that the Airfix kit was out of stock and they replaced it with the Academy kit. Next week...
Your squadron is looking good Daniel

Ausgezeichnet Bauen! Nice review of all the kits. I have the Revell, Mpm, Trumpeter, and Airfix kits just for fun as my serious builds are the TSM versions in 1/32 (A-1a, A-1a heavy armament, A-2a, B-1a, and A-1a clear), HpH and Hobbyboss A-1a in 1/18, and a few Hasegawa and Revell each in /132. I really like the Trimaster and Dragon kits I have in 1/48. Every once in awhile I'll buy another 1/72 or 1/144 as the detail just keeps getting better if ya read the reviews to avoid the horrible messes. I was going to say cheap horrible messes but I realized that's not the case anymore. Now it's #%^$ expensive horrible pieces of Cr#p! Maybe many pieces of Cr#p because it hit the wall literally. I just read one modelers soapbox rant about HK Models B-17 kit. He couldn't believe that he spent that much money on a big kit with hardly any engine details and the cockpit was very toy like. I feel his pain as I've run into this on different kits. I read reviews like crazy. I could imagine opening one of my kits like Zoukei-Mura's Hs 129, Ho 229, or Do 335 and just finding two halves to a plane, a seat, and an Army man on a stretcher. LOL
Keep up the awesome work.
Cheers,
Don

Your metal finish turned out good - I was curious how your paint experience will be as I'm going for the putty camo as well. I have a slower build speed but ready for painting since yesterday....

Lukasz that's one fabulous treatment! I'd be tempted to stop at pic 17 and decal up, turning it into 'pimp my ride' type thing. The Luftwaffe does MTV (money for nothing and [schwalbe] chicks for free) :)

Thx Gary, Dire Straits has a spot soft in my heart too :)
So, I attempted to seal the metal, but must have been too generous probably and the green started to pop up here and there.
I'm going to respray the parts, but was strongly tempted to park it under a tree :D I wonder if I would have tried it intentionally, I'd never get such a nice effect :D
Now I know how to paint the famous derelict Albanian jets :D

Today I added a view decals...unit markings, kill marking and what I hope is either a patriotic slogan or at least a pilot's name ;) The decals were sourced from different sheet from Lifelike & Techmod

@Daniel: wo er recht hat, hat er recht! There's a lot of potential in that topic! How about a Bf 109G-10 as interceptor Ki-400....or something like that :)

The first kit finished out of the Me 262 groupbuild is the least mentioned the little Kikka by AZ Model!
Even Short Run can be fun... though not in every Aspect with this one... :)

Very nice outcome, even with all the troubles to teach the finish line

It's nice to see Rudolph get so much positive feedback. It must do wonders for his self-confidence after how the other Schwalbes treated him...

Thanks a bunch Daniel, Murad, Christoph and Rui! Cheers!

Greg, but like everything in life, I am now getting the negative side of its success. He's developing into a rock star diva, drinks all day, pestering the other Schwalben and shouting vulgarly at me from his shelf ... He's like "Ted" without a fur.

Thanks folks! The resin figure was well cast and a joy to paint.
@Guns - yessir - own design and printed on my "ancient" Flashforge. Helps save shelf space ????.

Hmm, esay idk. So in principle only the solvent of the lower paint layer has to be different from the one above. Acrylics are available with different thinners. The following wash combinations work very well for me.

Tamiya/mr Hobby clear gloss (ipa + drop of laquer thinner) -> AK emaille wash, (Tamiya emaille should work fine too)
AK real colors clear gloss (laquer thinned) -> Vallejo wash (water based) (DONT use Tamiya acrylics!!!)

after the disaster with my NXR-700 I started using Flory Models washes.... they can be user over all paints. water based clay. if you do not like, you can be remove them with water and start over. Work like a charm.
25. February, 07:43
Spanjaard
although I wonder if chalk dissolved with water would not do the same trick, and a lot cheaper :P
25. February, 07:44

Spanjaard, you are Right ;)

ok, the drops of washing liquid to change surface tension would certainly make the trick :) thanks Roland!

I kinda agree with Spanjaard's suggestion to try a gray wash instead.

The belly looks great too. Did you already do some weathering?
22. February, 20:10
Roland Gunslinger
Thanks WhiteGlint! Yes, weathering is done: post shading of panel lines with Tamiya smoke + brown, green and black oils + dark brown panel wash. Unfortunately, you don't see it as well in the picture as I thought.

Excellent looking bottom - particularly the 2 "Weisswürste" under the wings! ;) Good you are doing an in-flight so all that tasty beauty will remain actually reasonably visible!

Q: Would it be a valid last-resort tactics to shake a bandit by shooting the 4 Mk108´s and letting him fly into the cloud of 30mm cartridges? :D
