Fabian D.Seems like you glued everything together already. Not really sure, but it could make putting the tracks on more difficult than it should be. Especially as those tracks aren't that easy to get straight. I usually build the running gear and do the tracks before the mudguards and the more delicate sub-assemblies on the hull. Speaking of those, the ventilator armour on the hull between the periscopes is missing. A victim of the carpet monster?
@Urban: Had that happen several times now, twice with older vinyl and once with DS tracks. But not with Tamiya tracks...
Andrea Morris🙂 No, the breather vent is not a victim of the infamous "carpet monster", I just haven't fitted it yet! As there are no side skirts I don't foresee any issues fitting the tracks last, but we will see!

Fabian D.The tracks look pretty tense. If you compare them with reference photos (for example your pic 1) you can see they should actually touch the road wheels. See, that's exactly why I said that you should have waited. 😛
But no worries, sigle link tracks and especially those with extensive sag require a fair bit of work and some experience.
Andrea Morris@Fabian I do indeed see what you mean. A tad disappointing. I did get the replacement track but don't have time for them right now but I will re-visit it later in the year.

The Cromwell tank, officially Tank, Cruiser, Mk VIII, Cromwell (A27M), was one of the most successful of the series of cruiser tanks fielded by Britain in the Second World War. Named after the English Civil War leader Oliver Cromwell, the Cromwell was the first tank put into service by the British to combine a dual-purpose gun, high speed from the powerful and reliable Rolls-Royce Meteor engine, and reasonable armour, in a balanced package. Its design formed the basis of the later Comet tank.
The name "Cromwell" was initially applied to three different vehicles during development. Early Cromwell development led to the creation of the A24 Cavalier. Later Cromwell development led to the creation of the competing Tank, Cruiser, Mk VIII, Centaur (A27L) design. The Centaur tank was closely related to the Cromwell, both vehicles being externally of very similar appearance. Cromwell and Centaur differed in the engine used.
