Iraq diorama

This is my second Iraq diorama. It's smaller than the first one and in scale 1:72. It shows a M1126 Stryker and an M1025 Humvee who passing through a little checkpoint outside of Baghdad.

ThorstenOnly the Stryker and the M998 Guntruck are finished, the rest need some more work😉

Did you use any acual pictures as reference or is it a "phantasy-scene" ?

ThorstenThank you, and yeah I searched some actual pictures but I dont't found many so I build most of the scene out of my fantasy.

Hast du irgendwo einen Baubericht geschrieben? Mich würde da insbesondere interessieren, was du bei dem Bau der Grundplatte samt "Belebung" so für Material verwendet hast.

ThorstenHi, einen Baubericht habe ich nicht, die einzigen Bilder vom Bau sind die im Album. Die Grundplatte habe ich einfach mit einer Beigefarbe grundiert, dann ordentlich Holzleim drauf und dann mit normalem Vogelsand bestreut. Dann noch etwas Mattlack zur Befestigung und fertig. Die kleinen Grasbüschel sind aus dem Eisenbahnzubehör, die Leitplanke ist Eigenbau aus Streichhölzern und einer Dose. Die Straße besteht aus Schleifpapier.
