Other than a bit of 'gaposis' at the port wing root and at the chin joint of the fuselage, the parts have gone together reasonably well. Most mismatched edges have been dealt with by scraping with the Xacto blade edge...although I may have to do a bit of putty topside, I won't know until I get the first coat of paint on.

Oh...The instructions call for 215 grams of weights behind the cockpit wall. I picked up two sets of weights with adhesive strips. When I finished assembly I had _approximately_ 200+ grams of weights. When I finally felt the undercarriage could take it and let it stand on its own three feet, I set it rightside up on the workbench and it dutifully tailsat.

I still have the nose open, having not capped it when the instructions so instructed, so I tried loading a couple of sinkers in above the nosewheel box. Lo! That did the trick! It now stands upright of its own accord. On all three feet.

It's still the biggest thing I've ever built.

So far.

215 grams? The kit must be really heavy now...

At last, it's good to see one built, because it's too often the kinf of kit many dream but only a few try to build.

I can't wait to see her painted: she will be magnificent in an all metal scheme

Yeah...About a half pound heavier. It's got real 'heft' when you pick it up.

Still, I must say that it is one of the more aesthetically pleasing aircraft ever built. What a 'babe' Connie is.

Ah...engines and nose cone attached. Miz Connie in her 'all together'. Aside from some minor touch up, all that remains is her uniform

I finally got around to applying the decals. For some reason, I'm resistant, particularly with the Connie. But, it's done, now.

This was a truly enjoyable kit, by the way.

Very nice. I love the look of this plane. The Wyoming Air National Guard flew them at one point.
