I've been remiss in photographing this project. But here are a few. Mostly out of box on this old AMT kit. Getting near to the finish line now. Just have a broken front wing to repair and trying to get the decals laid down.

Decals down. Some other progress other than what I've photographed such as repairing my broken front wing element. Cockpit glass installed, Tires sanded and front suspension finished. Just have to finish up tire decals and get those mounted onto the chassis and that will be it for this one!

It's worth noting I made a small mistake in my masking and masked the white and blue separation too low. Realized as I was starting the decal process. I decided not to worry about doing a strip and repaint this time. It's close enough and will look good on the shelf. This did cause me to have to adjust the decal placements a bit but the general look is there.

He was rarely dull. I did break off a wing. Minor in terms of Kevin Cogan damage. Lol

If only he'd have put his foot down in turn 3 in 1986, he holds off that goof, Rahal, wins Indy and all is forgotten......but no. Him and Mansell, trying to be good sports on restarts: fail.

One of the most disappointing finishes to a 500 ever. Never liked Rahal.

Got this one finished up. Enjoyable build. These old AMT Indycar kits don't go together too badly.
