Also got a start on this one a few days ago. Engine is done and I have two colors of the livery painted. Quadruple taping. Fun.

I did the Tamiya Benetton years ago and the approach I took was to paint the whole thing white, as an undercoat, then paint it ALL yellow. Mask off the part to stay yellow then paint it all red. Mask off the area to stay red then paint it all blue, mask and then green. A darker shade, each time. Of course, Tamiya is 1/20, so it was a bit easier to mask than that tiny thing. How those 43rd guys get ANYTHING done is beyond me.

I considered doing it that way. However I decided to quadruple mask in the hopes that the previous paint color build would help me with color bleed. So far so good. I totally concur on those 1/43 guys. So tiny.

All 4 colors down now and I am pleased. Now I'll be able to push this one across the finish line

And this one is across the finish line. Horrible, yet awesome livery. I've always loved it. One of the toughest I've painted but I'm happy with it. Pretty typical Hasegawa kit. Nice fit and looks nice. I've always found their plastic is a bit more on the brittle side than the Tamiya F1 kits but maybe it's just the smaller scale. Fun build
