Douglas A-1H Skyraider
Full kit and accessories
Control console pre-cutting to add the Eduard 644161 console
After cutting next to the console I’ll be adding.
Look part installed
Example of Skyraider cockpit.
Dry brushing still eludes my skill level.
I’m to the point I need to paint but I do that in the garage. It’s been below freezing the past week here in Texas so that doesn’t work well with painting.
Kit missile pylons on the left
QB resin pylons on the right.
You can see the pins to set them into the model are all the same on the resin set. The kit pylons increase in distance. See next picture.

Picture of the wing. You can see the pylon pins increase in distance as you go outboard.
We finally have the office back to useable space after the fire (A year ago). I started back on my Skyraider. Decided to test out my new wet palette on the figure. This is the best figure I've ever painted.
Probably one of the best props I’ve ever done
I thought it was interesting how these two aircraft are almost the exact same size, but one has a crew of three

This is a fantastic kit. The problem I found is that effort in the cockpit is rather wasted. It sits down inside the fuselage so far, its hard to see much. And if you do a pilot, forget it. LOL I have the AF version sitting in the stash.

Michael .
Yeah. I know the cockpit sits down low. But wanted to do it anyway. I need to learn how to do the details.
