I have been remiss in photographing this build. Just haven't remembered. But it's not anything special anyways. Just an out of the box build with some Indycals decals. My first attempt at this kit and it's going together nicely so far. Wish Revell wouldn't have decided to scrap the engine options on these kits as I think that would have made it an extra nice kit but it still builds up nicely. Paint job all finished up, tires sanded down and most of the assembly is done. Decals next.

Added a photo of my helper, my cat Erebus making things easy on me. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Decals all done apart from the backside of the tires. Still have wing mirrors to assemble and stick on along with the rear wing and attaching the tires to the chassis when I finish them. Simple kit but the fit is excellent and it certainly does a good job capturing the look of the Reynard. One of my favorite Indycar chassis. Going to finish the tire decals and then do final assembly tomorrow when everything is nice and dry.

Always Jv. I love open cockpit racing! Always have! I started attending the Indy 500 when I was 7 and went to races even before that. And the USGP when it was at Indianapolis. We didn't miss one of those. I've built several F1 and Indycars. Probably more than anything else and my stash is also full of more of those types than anything else. I think I have 4 more Reynards, several old Lola and March Indycars and several variousFformula 1 cars. My favorite things to build!!

Ok I dident know that but have noticed lately that you do many different builds very interesting

I have had a bit lees
I use to go to the speedway every Friday night
But thay built a new track so now I enjoy the drags and burnouts more
And sad to say none of the great Australian cars can be found as models

Jv, I help with a local race team here as well. So racing is a big part of my life. Grass roots Weekend racing is fantastic. We race sprint cars which I know are also popular in parts of Australia. Shame about no Australian car model kits but Drags and burnouts are fun too.

I have only seen a commodore kit old and was already built whed problems of wheels cracking
For sale on the secondhand market
It was not the most interesting of Holden's
Another one I have seen was a pontiac gto
Which is is a holden
And of course the mad max falcon
Only see one built model at a show
And a xy or xw falcon as a resin kit
So a few exist yes

Perhaps not the most elegant machine out there but I always thought one of those GTOs would be fun to own if only for a short period of time. A 6.0 liter 6 speed manual Holden Monaro sounds like a pretty good time to me.

JV, keep an eye out for the new DDA kits. HQ sedan and panel van are available for preorder. Some of the better hobby stores in Vic should be able to help U out 👍 I have the AMT GTO/Monaro kit and a few "the parts box" resin kits. Fujimi is doing a Bathurst version of the GTR32. The Revell dart is pretty close to a VG/VF valiant. I have an Aoshima mad Max for sale, but it's very pricey...

I finished this one up this morning. Tamiya park green and Italian red. Double masked so I didn't have to try to cover either bright color. Decals from Indycals. Out of box and very simple. Fun build though and it looks like a Reynard. I'm happy.
