1998 Lake Speed Cartoon Network Taurus

Got a start on this. I always liked Lake Speed. My dad actually raced against him in go karts. Found this jewel at an antique mall/flea market and couldn't pass it up. Just a ridiculous livery. If the decals work I'm just planning ok building it out of box. Kind of a nice kit. Initial fit has been excellent. Comes with tire decals and even molded styrene plug wires. Easiest wiring job ever. Lol. Engine together and part of the cage and chassis. Will paint these pieces now and then finish assembling the interior and cage. Should be fairly quick.

Indeed. Engine will be mostly one color. (I will do some detail painting) Chassis and roll cage are all one color. (Gray in the case of this car) Even the body will be one color. Very simple build. Makes getting the roll cage square that much easier.

Made some painting progress on this build. Try to do some body decaling and finish up the engine tomorrow.

Chassis and cockpit all finished up. Just have some more old and terrible decals to try to pound into doing my bidding and some clear parts to add and we'll be to the finish line!

Decals complete for what it's worth. Working on painting window trims and whatnot. Finish line is quite near now. This has been a fun one.

Calling this one done. Found at an antique mall/flea market for dirt cheap. Couldn't pass it up. Really good kit! Decals were not easy to use but I am pretty happy with the result for how terrible they were. Always loved these silly Cartoon Network sponsored cars. I also always liked Lake Speed. My dad raced go karts against him way back in the day.
