Its just the same old Firebird 400 w/some new wheels & tires, disc brakes etc, and fancy new decals !
Still a nice kit.

Hi Robert, again a great finish. I like your colors. Good choice. Better than the recommendation from the kit. Your Garage is improving.

Thanks Norbert,
The one I had was kind of a root beer brown, this color looked close, but that was 30 years ago, so my memorys a bit off I'm sure. lol but it's close enough for me, I like it. I didn't care for the fancy decals, but the wheels & tires do look good!
The garage is getting filled up. I need to build some more levels.
Just building the cars I and my immediate family had will fill 3-4 levels easily. Never mind all the cool cars I grew up with.
I'm getting more confident with my painting (finally!), so I've started doing "MY" cars, and have a lot of work ahead of me. I have at near 200 car & truck kits alone and more on my list, I'll need a skyscraper to display them all !! Let alone over 100 airplanes and countless others.
I'm Addicted ! I just can't stop buying them. A bit ambitious for a guy my age, but who cares I'm having fun.

Most of us are addicted to the hobby. And it's always good to have hundred of kits... I've the biggest respect in the paint job of these kind of cars. You can see the smallest dust particle...it does not forgive any mistake.....

Yes I did have a lot of cars. Over 50, not counting the ones I just scrapped for parts (Firebirds & Camaros). When I was growing up old cars were a dime a dozen. Literally ! I'd get most of them for free !!
And yes painting a nice finish on a car is much tougher than on an airplane, especially the WWII flat finishes, they hide a lot of defects !!
I am Addicted.
My friends all think I'm crazy for having so many that I'll never build. But I don't give a rats butt. I don't smoke anymore, so I spend that $$ on models (actually I spend MOST of my $$). I wish I had spent the $$ on models over the years instead of cigarettes, I'd have a warehouse full !!! LOL AND, those kits would be a fortune today !! OUCH

LOL.... Interesting, that I 've had a similiar deal....I spent the same amount in modelling than my wife st pay for cigarettes per month...not bad...a lot of money. Honestly sometimes I spent much more for my hobby. My problem is that I have more than one hobby. I also have an expensive race bike, Bonsai, Real Cars..cost a lot. And the biggest thing is that I have'nt enough time for all of that. This is the reason that there are no builds project. If I have time I use it for modelling, and not for preparing and uploading pictures. Cheers Norbert

Album info

This was the 4th Firebird I had on the road. it had the 350 from the 70. I added a 4 barrel manifold and it had a posi rear end. What a ball to drive !! Just turn the wheels and step on the gas and you're sliding around the corner. It was a blast!
This Revell kit is pretty nice. Everything fits well, turns out nice.
