just tried to dry fit the section after the PE parts went in - a lot of sanding on the sides of the bomb bay
bombs are just primered and will be reworked when the beast fits inside the fuselage

hope to get a friend with this kit

Watch for the fitting of the cockpit. Mine was around to big. I think you will have there a lot of sanding too.

Thank you gents.
I agree about the cockpit issues - there are quite a few more when you add the Eduard stuff
There are a few more issues with the fit between the front hatch and the fuselage.
Today I closed the fuselage step by step, but it still needs some sanding and filling.
Hope to post some pictures soon.

Fuselage is closed now - added some pictures

How did it fit?

Eugen, I had to sand down the whole cockpit and bomb bay section to get a good fit to the fuselage. But the lower hatch section still did not fit to the fuselage. You can see the gap between the hatch and the fuselage in the first picture.

The same bugs, that I had. What will you do with the Spinner? They are absolutly wrong.

Looking very nice. Sorry to hear about all the fit issues.

@ Eugen,
I will leave the spinner as they are- the big ED set is enough of improvement to me

@ Clifford - thank you - I will fight this battle till the end🙂

I agree, I do not believe in unbuildable kits. I will not be defeated! LOL.

I don´t give up with this 🙂 - added just some better pictures

next step is the landing gear - heard a lot about this before 🤔

Well Stephan, that looks very nice so far even you have to sail around some cliffs.
Do not pay to much attention to all the bad review of a kit. Make your experience and try to get the best out of it. At the end you should be satisfied with your work – that counts! Keep on the good work mate👍

Thank you Christian,
I think at the end this kit is only a "part" of a diorama I like to build🙂 but it's a good experiance with that big amount of parts and some "cliffs" I have to sail around -I'll do my very best 🙂

Stephan, I am convinced you are doing a nice Mossie therefrom. As I remember the gear is a little bit tricky.
Look for enough original pics of it.

Thank you Eugen for your tips

so far only little progress

Thank you Eugen,

for the landing gear Revell expects visionary capability by the builder 😭

again only little progress on this - but better than nothing 🙂

elevator added - one engine cowling added

I had some issues with that as you can see in the first picture there is a hole which had to be fixed and some other gaps all around

in picture No. 3 you have a top view on the end of the cowling were I had to add some material cause the material there was so thin that it broke away during the mounting process

Very, very nice. The Mossie as well as the Diorama 👍 In spite of the "little inadequacies" of the kit.

Thank you Eugen 🙂

the most complicated part was putting the main landing gear into the wheel well and fitting the canopy clear parts together - was heart surgery 😭
but finaly it came to an end
the airfix figures were very nice and also the Bedford MWD

The main landing gear. I know what you mean😉
