This is interior color for Reggiane fighters? Looks similar to RAF interior color...
Go on mate, nice airplane!

Hello Kerber, yes indeed the Italian Anticorrosive Green should Be Paler... but I taken a "poetic license" and I've used the humbrol 78 ;P

I am building the Sword's 2in1 kit 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Malta which has the Spitfire V and the RE-2000. I used IPMS Stockholm's old paint conversion chart ipmsstockholm.org/co..olorcharts_italy.htm.
I used the 2nd Verde Anticorrosione mix since the first one looked to light. I included a pic of both completed cockpits of both aircraft in the kit as a comparison.

Really a great work. I am sorry for the decals but I think that overall it is a great built and the paint and weathering is really nicely done.

Steve -
Very good looking model. your weathering and painting is impressive. Silvering is always a sad thing just as your finishing. I have done the same thing and I still don't like it. There are some techniques to try to remove or repair the silvering. So please, if I may be so bold, suggest one of the least severe and least damaging is to prick with a straight pin tiny holes in the area or bubble. Then apply some decal setting solution, which may/should work its way under the decal film and seal the decal to the model. The results can sometimes be rewarding, if not perfect. Good Luck

Grazie Antonio, your compliments encourage me a little ;P
Steve thank you for your suggest, I appreciate very much...and the suggest are never enough 😄
Robbie your cockpits are really impressive, and colours are accurate, I can't wait to see the ended models.

You can try with nitro thinner...smal brush (O) and one smal drop in place where silvering is...dont touch it untill is dry...Works on some old Academy and Italeri decals....Untill i get Gunze decal setter and softener, i tried with alcohol (75%) and alcohol winager, plus - i used hot watter for decals soaking...Could be dangerous for decals (and for fingers too), but not boiling, just approximal 60-70 degrees Celsius...

I know that problem with decals. You can do nothing. But still it is a very nice model. 👍👍

Martien and Kerber, thank you very much for the suggest (there is not what better than the shared experience) and the appreciation.

No problem at all..we all have same problems from time to time, and if we are changing expirience, and learn from the others, our skills and models will be much better.
One more idea- maybe You can print on laser printer these rondeles, if You have piece of clean decal paper...and then simply replace them...
But, Your model is still nice with or without small silvering! Cheers mate!

Cristian Bordina
Antonio my wife use a mixture of acrylic matt brown and gloss black diluited in water and applied "drybrush" with a cutted brush.

Album info

Three weeks of job ruined by the silvering of the decals. I have tried to mask and hide the effect on the wing national insignia...with poor results. Unfortunately the things not always goes as we would be wanted. It's a shame...but at the end I'm a poor modelist 😛
