Using part K7 instead of K6 rises the turret to clear reardeck in TA version. How nice from Meng to include right optional parts for their kit. 🙂

Making the UN flag. Flag is a decal made by Unicorn models. Decal went to both sides of thin foil I had primed with Tamiya fine surface primer. "Rope" is made with thin copper wire I took from old cellphone charger.
![Album image #37 Album image #37](/albums/img/5/7/2/164572-17878-89-720.jpg)
I glued the "rope" in the middle of foil strip and bent and glued it to the flag. Uups, better not hang it upside down though.
![Album image #38 Album image #38](/albums/img/5/7/4/164574-17878-17-pristine.jpg)
Foil between the decals makes the flag bendable.
![Album image #39 Album image #39](/albums/img/5/7/3/164573-17878-15-720.jpg)
Snapping nicely in the wind.

I continued weathering with pigments.

I just looked at the "Images" of the actual vehicle on Google and I am surprised as to just how big the actual unit really is.
I do like your attention to detail and I will be watching this progress with great interest mate. 🙂

Thanks for tuning to the channel Kerry. 🙂 Turret in this vehicle is huge when compared to hull. My goal is to finish this in time for a show at 28.2...

I hope you will post some images of the show you are attending mate.?
Is the AuF1 the only thing you are competing with or is there more ?
I don't compete very often, but when I do, I become a different animal all together. :-OO

I´m glad you like it Matthias. UNIFIL registration plates are decals made by Echelon. UN logos are Accurate Armour decals. UN flag decals are made by Unicornmodels. I bought them all from Sockelshop´s website.

Veli-Matti, Thank you my friend, and be sure to let them know when you get in touch with them again that you have promoted their website and store products to all your mates at Scale Mates Forum and you may get some discount on any future purchases 🙂

Thx. for the hint mate, might buy some of those decals in the future.
I'm thinking about opening my own shop.... That gives me unlimited access to scale model kits and accessories and I can become my best customer. 🙂 😛

Very nice work. Like the weathering. If I may ask, witch material did you use for the flag?

Well it really turned out to be a nice piece of armour and I have a big slap on the back for you in the way you have made it 'come alive' looking like it has just rolled into your driveway 🙂

Thanks for looking Rui,Kerry and Ulf. 🙂 Rui,I just added some explanation about the flag making process to the pictures. Check them again to find out.😉

I just read the flag making you did, and I was worried that it was going to be up side down, but I see it was done correctly.
It does look "Wind Blown" indeed mate.
Cheers again. 🙂

Thank you Gábor. Michael,my hat goes up to you. I found it difficult to even pack my older models to cardboard boxes to make way for new ones in my display case. 😄

Thanks Veli-Matti, for the flag explanation. I've never opened a cell phone charger. Do you advise that? I've lots of old ones...
11 March 2015, 18:39
![](/profiles/img/17878-479-s.jpg)
Well, there is a lots of thin copper wire inside the power cord. Very useful stuff in many model projects. Just be sure the charger is unplugged before opening it...🙂

Very well done. I am a fan of UN vehicles and just finished a Leclerc form UNIFIL, I especially like the way your white camouflage came out, not easy to pull it out! Also love the weathering, just enough to make it look real! Congrats.
