Very nice little scene Mike 👍 I have been hearing good things about the Master Box kit and it seems to be true from your experience. Are the tracks simply rubber band style? Your detailing and weathering really bring the 1/72 kit to life. 🙂

Thx Alan - the tracks are simply rubber bands and it need a lot of time to trim them. The pics are not good enough, the weathering is nearly invisible... 🙁

@Kim - Making the dio is easy. (Hope I find the right words in englsih)
The ground is a styrodur or styrene panel. The first layer is realized with a structure paste (fine) from a "hobbymarket".
At first I modeled a little "landscape" followed by a layer of quartz sand and pigments. In this mixture I pressed the tank, protected the tracks with a foil. Next step is the painting.
Let it dry. Then I glued the tank and added some more sand.
For glueing sand, pigmente and so on I used always Scenic Cement (Woodland, under distribution from NOCH).
A little wash and drybrushing follows... ...and that's all. Greetings Mike

Album info

Ok - 1/72 is not really my scale, but this kit from MASTER BOX give you a lot of fun. Detailing is really good and if you work carefully you need no putty. The worst thing are the rubber tracks... - they need a little bit more work...🙂
Colours are from Vallejo and AK.
