Gary KitchenNice build. I know what you mean about the Armee de lair colours in my Zumbach builds, I used the Hataka colour set and I was never entirely satisfied with the tones I achieved. Tricky palette.

Duster_dYes, Gary, when I started preparing for painting, I was confused by the fact that the colors in this scheme look very different in different sources (color schemes, paintings, box arts). When I started painting, my confusion increased even more, but in the end I liked the result. Well, the photo turned out to be lighter than "in real life".

Unfortunately, this project was not very successful. I finished it as it is. Maybe I'll make another Blenheim later.

Alex K... for instance, I'm glad you finished this, despite the problems encountered... By the way, I do have a Blenheim I kit from the old Frog/Novo etc tool and, yes, I intend to build it one day, as you did - instead of buying the newer and better Airfix kit. (P.S. The fact that your model depicts a 30 Squadron [VT code] Blenheim I, in desert scheme, is a plus for me and my personal interests - one more reason I'm glad you finished this.)

Duster_dAlex, as far as I remember, K7107 collided with another Blenheim from the 30th Squadron during a training flight, but was able to land. Later, it underwent repairs, did not fly and was destroyed on the ground in April 1941.

Duster_dThe large decals of the "Zvezda" are made normally. But there were problems with the "technical", the lacquer substrate was applied with an offset and the inscription may fall apart in the water. I applied the Decal Fix from Vallejo to small decals and it helped to carry out the transfer without loss. Now part of the "technical" is applied using vinegar-based chemicals for "welding" and alcohol to remove the lacquer substrate.
