Martin - thanks for the help in uploading. I seem to have hit a snag as I have been trying to upload pdfs for Wasp and Nagato but the website doesn't seem to want to take them. All my others worked fine so..??

There is a size limit to the pdf's. If I remember correctly it is 25mb? The issue could be there.
Always happy to help 👍🏻

yes, both of these files are over 50mB. What can I do? Unfortunately the instruction booklets for the Nagato and the Wasp are 50 pages plus.
I do not know how to split the file and if I do the app will only take one file.

Reduce the size, which can be done in multiple ways:
- do not scan in very high resolution. Lower resolution is often good enough for readability
- do not scan black and white manuals in full color but greyscale
- compress the PDF (there are some tooling pages like this example tools.pdf24.org )

Thanks but I scanned at 200 and have tried to use the app you suggested but they won't take anything bigger than 20mB.
If you have other tools to use, I would be happy to send you these files.

I have successfully split the 2 instruction files into 3-4 smaller parts that are <20mB. Is there a way to download them to the kit page?

i believe you can only have on file per instructions set

Yes, that is my understanding also but these instructions are just too much for the site, I guess.

i guess the only option are decrease resolution, change to B/W , as bughunter already suggested. or ask for the limit to be changed (feature request)

It was a lot of work to do those 100 pages or so of scan and I do not believe that changing resolution or b&w will decrease that much, so I would hope some other workaround could be arranged.
But if i get really bored, I might try one and leave out the instructions for paint and rigging. That MIGHT do it??

Please post a request for a larger upload size with a reference to these two situations. Feature requests is here scalemates.com/features.php

i believe there are ways to convert many pictures in one go (batch conversion). and going from color to b/w. but you can also use some online tools to convert your pdf to b/w, or you can even go it from Adobe itself adobe.com/uk/acrobat..df-to-greyscale.html

I already trialed Adobe but found that only decreased the file size minimally. Thanks for the help
