Here's my recently completed Bf 109K-4 from the new Eduard kit. It's was built straight out of the box and was a very enjoyable build. I was energized by the camo scheme on the box cover and am really happy with how it turned out. I used Mr. Color paints for all the main camo. Thanks for looking. Enjoy the photos.

Jim, do you have a WIP album for this build? Curious to see how you proceeded with this build and as a means of inspiration for my upcoming Kurfürst.

Thanks all for the nice comments. Much appreciated.

@Patrick, I don't have a WIP album for this build. But here's a summary: I mostly followed the updated instructions on Eduard's website for construction. My main deviation was to glue the tops of the wing to the fuselage first and then glue the bottoms of the wings on.

As for camo painting, I primed the yellow areas in white and the rest of the areas in black. After painting and masking the yellow areas, the sequence was 1) silver fuselage sides and underside, 2) RLM02 puttied panel lines on the fuselage, 3) RLM76 underside areas, 4) RLM75 wing and stab upper side areas, 5) RLM74 upper wing and stab areas, 6) RLM76 fuselage sides, 7) RLM81 and 82 mottles in the RLM76 areas, 😎 RLM82 fuselage and tail areas, 9) RLM81 fuselage and tail areas, 10) dark gray wing fairings.

Hope that helps. I keep detailed notes on my builds so let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll be happy to share more details.

Beautiful. Love the balance between factory finish and realistic look.

Wow Jim, that was very comprehensive! Thank you for that. I didn't know Eduard updated the instructions, so I'll swing by their website for sure. Good idea to glue the top wings on first to eliminate any seam at the wing roots. I'll keep this in mind when building mine. I'm eying the Italian markings for now but might go for this colorful version as well.
