I've been dreaming about building a Rome Plow for over 20 years... And now it's done! Rome Plow is a Caterpillar D7E tractor equipped with a special blade made by the Rome Plow company, designed to cut trees and bushes flush with the ground, but leaving the roots intact, to prevent erosion. Many of the Rome Plows were used in Vietnam to level forests and so prevent the Viet Cong and NVA (North Vietnam Army) from using them as a base or hideout. These actions devastated large portions of Vietnam's countryside.
